Event Title: Recital Fees Dues
The recital fee is $30 per child-which allows us to rent the theatre and not sell tickets. Once the fees are paid, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

It is that time again ... plans for the 2002 recital are now underway. Please send your Recital Form in as soon as possible, with fees if your child will be participating.

This year we will not be ordering costumes, so each dancer will need a black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, tap shoes (Level 1 and up involved in tap class), and a black skirt (Level 1 and up). If you have questions as to which level your child is in, please call the studio after 4:00 on weekdays, or email me and we can clear up any confusion.

Tap, jazz and modern classes may have additional "accessories", and as soon as we know what those are, we will let you know. (Any accessories will be things you probably already have).

The recital will be held on May 30th at 6:30, and the Mandatory dress rehearsal will be held on May 29th at 5:00.

WE COULD NOT DO A RECITAL OF THIS MAGNITUDE WITHOUT THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers will sit with the children in the balcony during the recital and usher them to and from the balcony during the performance. The volunteers will be able to watch the entire show, and see their children perform from backstage (best seat in the house!) We need at least 3 volunteers per class in order for that class to be eligible to participate. If we do not get enough help, we cannot let that class perform.

Additional information about the recital will come out in the April newsletter.

Event Title: Late Payment for this Month
Payments are due on the 15th of the preceding month and a $10 late fee will be charged after the 1st of the month, unless prior notification is given to drop a class.

NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR MISSED CLASSES.
Make-up lessons may be arranged by checking the schedule.

Event Title: Observation Week
Parents are invited and are encouraged to attend dance class

This will allow you to see the progress your child is making as a dancer. Notices will be posted in the studio and on the website two weeks prior to the observation week as a reminder. All parents are asked to wait in the lobby or the dressing room while class is in progress, with the exception of the special observation days.

Please do not allow your children to sit / play in the office area. This space is for staff only.

Event Title: Sign Up for Summer Classes
We are going to follow the same format as last summer.

Children under age 11 will be taking 2 week Dance Camp sessions. We will focus on a particular ballet (last summer we did Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake), and learn about the costumes, hair and makeup, and dance steps.

Last summer the children that attended the dance camps had a great time, and many signed up for additional sessions. This is the perfect way to get them out of a specific routine and show them a completely different side to dance. The nice part about it is they get 2 months worth of dance classes in 2 weeks. Many parents were very unsure how their children would react to coming to dance class 4 days in a row for 2 weeks, but they were pleasantly surprised when they did not complain at all about attending. Each day the children did something different and at the end of the session they had an activity booklet to take home to show their parents what they learned in class. They even got to dress up in costumes and have their picture taken!

Sign your child up soon to get the session of your choice. Space is limited in each camp, so please hurry.
